Our Story

It might sound cliché, but love at first sight felt real the moment Paul saw Elizabeth. It may have taken a little convincing, but our story officially began at Michigan State. After months of thinking about Elizabeth, Paul started to wonder if he had missed his chance, until she showed up one day with cupcakes. They talked for hours, and in that simple, unexpected moment, they felt a spark that has never gone away.

Soon after, we took a leap. Instead of doing long distance, we moved in together nearly 1,200 miles from where we met, starting a new chapter in Colorado. Our love flourished in the mountains... skiing, hiking, and soaking up everything the outdoors had to offer. The friendships we made in Colorado only deepened our connection as we hosted parties, explored the state, and made memories with the people who became like family.

The heart of that chapter? Adopting Moose. If you know Moose, you know he is full of personality — the moodiest, happiest, most lovable part of our lives. He truly made our little family complete.

After three unforgettable years out west, we felt the pull of home and moved back to what Paul lovingly calls "the greatest city in the world", Grand Rapids. Anyone who knows us knows we will gladly give you a list of reasons why Michigan is the best of all 50 states. We love being close to family again, near the Great Lakes, and rooted in a place that feels like home.

One of their favorite things is simply spending quality time together. Whether it's sharing a glass of wine, talking about the peaks and pits of the day, or laughing over something small. They love being by each other's sides and making the most of the quiet, everyday moments that matter most.

We love our life together. And we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for being part of our story. We cannot wait to celebrate with you.
